WONETHA - Sex Workers need Rights NOT rescue

Women's Organization Network for Human Rights Advocacy (WONETHA) is a sex worker organization established in 2008.Sex workers are facing a Health and Human Rights crisis in Uganda,yet very little is being done to protect their rights.Research carried out in Africa shows that criminalisation of sex work leaves sex workers particularly vulnerable to sexual and physical abuse from law enforcement officials.Sex Workers experience routine violence from police ,including rape,physical assault and having their genitals sprayed with pepper spray.
WONETHA's arise to sprear head the End of this violence and campaign against the Harsh Laws that the Government of Uganda is using to Violent the rights of this Minority group.
The rights to freedom of expression and the right to employment is violated becaue eof the High level of the abuse of Human Rights In Uganda.
